THE PHOTOBOOTH PEOPLE HELP LAUNCH FOUR NEW BUSINESSES

Matt & Nikki Douglas, the owners of The Photobooth People are delighted with their new photobooth sales venture, having helped launch four new businesses in just the first month of their sales operation. “Photobooth rentals are taking the wedding and events industries by storm”, said Nikki, “...We have been operating in the South East Queensland area since 2007 and the most common email we now send out is that we are fully booked. We are pleased to be helping new business owners tap into this growth market.”

In June 2010 The Photobooth People were granted exclusive distributor rights for Digital Centre’s photobooths in Australia and New Zealand. “We were thrilled to be asked by Spain’s Digital Centre to be their presence in Australia”, said Matt, “They are one of the leaders in their field and after using their machines we were convinced there was no better product on the market. What we are now able to offer to potential business owners is the knowledge and know-how we have from three years in this industry, along with all the equipment they need – and we are based in Brisbane. No more importing headaches!” As Nikki explained, there are currently no large-scale photobooth manufacturers in the Southern hemisphere, with those in the Australian industry originally having to source their equipment from Europe or the US, “What we are finding is that now that people can access the equipment they need here in Australia, it’s been overwhelming. Our sales website isn’t even finished yet and we’ve had such an amazing response,” Matt continued, “Our feedback is that people who had wanted to start a photobooth rental business before but held concerns over importing booths, differences in power requirements and lack of in-country support are now coming to us.”
