ENZED®'s business is that of supply, repair and replacement of hydraulic and flexible hose and fittings. This service is available to customers 24 hours every day, 7 days every week.
ENZED® aims for market leadership through its unique Franchise system using proven techniques and highly trained personnel. This system enables ENZED® to maximise market penetration, by personal service to customers at all times.
To meet market requirements, Parker designs, develops, manufactures and supplies a vast range of high quality hose, fittings and assembly equipment. ENZED® also source much of the hose out of Parker's manufacturing Hose Plant in Wodonga.

ENZED®’S BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Following four years of evaluation and planning in New Zealand, the ENZED® Service Centre and HOSE DOCTOR® system was established in Australia in 1981, thus providing a successful method of selling hydraulic hose and couplings and providing associated services through Service Centres and Mobile Van operators.
THE SERVICE CENTRE
An ENZED® Service Centre Franchise consists of a geographic area in which the Service Centre Franchisee establishes an ENZED® Service Centre, providing over the counter hose and fitting replacement and forming the base for the extended ENZED® service in the form of the mobile on-site service called the HOSE DOCTOR®. The Service Centre provides the inventory and carries the debt for sales written by the HOSE DOCTOR®.
THE HOSE DOCTOR® BUSINESS
The heart of the ENZED® system is the HOSE DOCTOR®, an owner-operator who provides on-site sales and service. The HOSE DOCTOR® intensively services all possible users of hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings on behalf of the franchised base, the ENZED® Service Centre.
As well as being able to sell products direct from his van, the HOSE DOCTOR® is also able to assemble hoses on the spot where they are needed, thus offering and emergency breakdown service. This service is highly regarded by industry, where downtime caused by unexpected hydraulic failures can be very expensive.
The business comes from the sale of hose, fittings and services to Designated Customers and other prospective clients. A Designated Customer is one who the Service Centre Owner/Manager agrees to designate to a HOSE DOCTOR® after the HOSE DOCTOR® has developed an on-going business relationship with that prospective customer.
HOSE DOCTOR® s are paid a commission on all product sales and services provided. The commission scheme is structured to reward the HOSE DOCTOR® for actual sales written by him.

INVESTMENT REQUIRED: $35,000 plus vehicle (HOSE DOCTOR® only).

ADVERTISING LEVY: 1%
FRANCHISOR SUPPORT
Franchisor support includes, as a prerequisite for franchisees, a 2-week comprehensive TAFE Certified training program covering product knowledge, basic business skills, and sales and marketing; further support includes ongoing training, technical support, national advertising and regional managers.
